What an incredible first day for the Adoption Tour!  If you haven’t heard about it, seen it on TV, or read about it in the newspaper – you may just be in the minority!

News about the 85 bicyclists who are riding 433.7 miles in 5 days across the state of Tennessee is everywhere!  Check out some of the behind the scenes photos from yesterday’s celebration in Blount County!

As you can see in the photos, Channel 6 News was there.  Check out Kristyn Caddell’s live report.

WBIR-TV’s Bill Williams interviewed Harmony Adoptions’ executive director, Pam Wolf  during Live at Five at Four and then interviewed Michael Yates during the 6:00 p.m. newscast, just before he introduced his weekly Monday’s Child segment.

Bob Wilson with the Knoxville News Sentinel was on site, along with Joel Davis, from the Maryville Daily Times, and Pat McLoughlin from WVLT-TV.

The Adoption Tour is getting coverage in Johnson City too, where the tour began with a kick-off celebration on Sunday.

The riders are on their way to Cleveland as I write this, and then onto Chattanooga for a celebration in Coolidge Park before turning in for the night.  What another incredible day!

The tour will end in Nashville on Friday, with the largest celebration of all in Bicentennial Park.  For more on the Adoption Tour, check out AckermannWire or on the tour’s website at www.adoptiontour.org.
