Google recently announced the top 10 fastest-growing search terms. iPhone was number one. Not a huge surprise there, but webkinz was number two. Webkinz is a social networking site for beanie-baby-like plush toys and the kids who own them. I’m familiar with webkinz because my 8-year-old visits the site and has managed to outfit his character with clothes, applicances, and more. Turns out, five of Google’s top 10 search terms are for social media sites. Click here for the full Top 10 list.

This article is very shocking. I noticed that the author was relieved that Britney Spears did not reach the top 10, yet he failed to show disgust at the keyphrase entry number ten… Anna Nicole Smith. Not that I am promoting Britney, but she did have a more interesting year in the spotlight (both ups and downs) and I would also comment that she is more attractive looking than Anna Nicole whether Britney has hair or not.
