Because of the writer’s strike, my favorite television show, The Office, won’t be returning with new episodes until April 10th. Like most people, I’ve been filling the void with other shows. For me, it has been Project Runway and Celebrity Apprentice. Let’s be honest, Donald Trump, while entertaining, is no Steve Carell.
So what has the rest of America been watching??? According to the Nielsen Ratings for last week, Fox’s American Idol (Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday) took the top three spots on the list. While that’s not so surprising, NBC was absent completely. In fact, Fox shows made up half of the Top 10 list, with ABC claiming four of the spots. You can check out the full list here.
I wonder how the writer’s strike and the subsequent shake-up of the show line-ups will affect the Nielsen Ratings for national news programs…if at all. February book just ended, but May sweeps will be here before we know it.
