I am, at least after reading a blog post on MSNBC’s Ads of the Weird. (I should warn you: reading the blog might result in a craving for pancakes.)
Essentially, Geico is now using Mrs. Butterworth to tell the story of one of its insurance customers, much like Little Richard and Joan Rivers have in the past. Have you seen the commerical yet? Mrs. Butterworth is animated! See for yourself!
While the gecko is not in this particular ad, I think it’s enough of a departure to stand alone without him. I do love the gecko though – that voice and the witty dialogue!?! Who couldn’t?
After reading the post, I searched for more information about Geico and its commercials. Did you know they spend $300 million on advertising each year???
