There are some amazing and noteworthy things happening with social media in and around Knoxville, and there are a growing number of local individuals, businesses and organizations interested in sharing knowledge about what Web 2.0 can do. That’s why I’ve launched what I hope will become a valuable personal and professional networking organization for Knoxvillians engaged in social media initiatives. I’ve christened it Knoxville Social Media Association (KSMA), and at the moment, the best place to join the conversation is on our Facebook page, where we already have 105 group members.

I’m working on putting together our first KSMA meet-up, which should be announced within the next week or two.  Very soon, I should have a fully-featured KSMA online presence up and running. I welcome input and guidance from anyone interested in helping me get our nascent organization off to a great start.

So go jump in the discussions underway on the KSMA Facebook page, or comment here to let me know what you would like to see in the way of KSMA activities, learning opportunities and speakers.

I look forward to hearing from you!
