Ackermann PR’s Senior Vice President, Lisa Skinner and I had the pleasure of attending the Tennessee College Public Relations Association’s biannual conference last week. TCPRA is an alliance of communicators who represent the colleges and universities, public and private, two-year technical schools, technology centers and community colleges that together define higher education in Tennessee.
The organizers of this year’s conference held at Lincoln Memorical University asked that Lisa and I do a media training session on Friday morning. Thanks to the LMU staff, we were able to facilitate mock television interviews both in studio and on the street in a “breaking news” situation. We enjoyed our time with the communications professionals very much and hope they found our condensed two-hour session to be helpful. (We offer half day and/or whole day media training sessions for our clients here at Ackermann PR.)

And a final thought about the LMU campus and Cumberland Gap…I have lived here for a little more than 5 years now, and I’ve never seen East Tennessee look so beautiful. The fall colors – so vibrant, the campus – pristine, and the downtown area - preserved. Thank you to our hosts!
