In what is shaping up to be a hotly contested race for the White House, we are constantly being reminded of the importance to make our voices heard. From Rock the Vote to Declare Yourself, from Lifetime Television’s Every Woman Counts campaign to WWE’s Smackdown Your Vote there is a real sense of urgency to mobilize voters of all gender, age, and race for the upcoming presidential election.

Following suit, the American Institute of Graphic Arts has just released its Get Out the Vote 2008 posters for national distribution. Get Out the Vote is a juried collection of 24 non-partisan posters that were created by designers from all across the country with the purpose of inspiring the American public to participate in the electoral process. Over 200 entries were submitted for competition with the 24 winners being professionally printed and distributed to be hung in restaurants, laundromats, dorms, coffee shops and stores all across the country. Smackdown, rock, declare or get out. No matter how you say it, just vote.
