If you have not yet read the book, “How Starbucks Saved My Life”, be sure to. It’s a really inspiring story of how a high-priced ad executive in Manhattan finds himself suddenly unemployed, broke, divorced and generally down on his luck. A series of random meetings lead to a menial job at a Starbucks.
The rest is a fascinating little story of how life circumstances can totally change our perspective and of the kinds of unexpected people in our lives who can impact us positively, if we let them. It’s part business book, part heart-warming personal (and true) story. And after being on the New York Times best-seller list for awhile, it’s about to be a movie starring Tom Hanks. I recommend it as a fairly quick but satisfying read that will motivate you to either love your life or get on with changing it.
