As companies strive to add value beyond their product or service per se, and try to give consumers something extra, many turn to community outreach (called Corporate Social Responsibility in PR jargon) to express their personality, reflect their corporate brand and build a positive image and reputation.
KFC recently came up with a new idea. They paid for 350 potholes to be repaired in Louisville, KY. Each pothole carried a sprayed-on message that said “Refreshed by KFC”! Just when you think you’ve seen it all!
