Tennessee is talking about making the post of Lt. Governor elected. Lots of states do. The debate here is driven in large part (and by large part I mean pretty much exclusively) because of Lt. Governor John Wilder.

No matter where you fall on the issue, you’ll probably enjoy reading a column by Gail Kerr of The Tennessean. In fact her column is almost always worth reading, although most are more focused on Nashville than the state.
